This twin-engined de Havilland Rapide 6 was built in 1944 by Brush Coachworks Ltd. It is seen here in the livery of British European Airways which was formed in 1946 and existed until 1974 when it was merged with the British Overseas Airways Corporation to form British Airways.

At the time of writing, a replica of this aircraft is on display outside the former Liverpool Airport (now a hotel) at Speke.
