A circus parade on the streets of Inverness, possibly Lord George Sanger's circus, which visited the town on the 15th and 17th August 1891. A clown holding a parasol and sitting in a horse-drawn carriage, can be seen in the photgraph.

Lord George Sanger's circus boasted an array of animals including over 200 horses and ponies, a herd of elephants, a flock of camels and 20 carriages of wild animals. Each day there was a grand street parade headed by two bands. The circus performances were said to have been extremely well attended
