A man sitting on a bridge in Inverness, possibly one of the bridges linking the recreational area known as 'The Ness Islands' to the town. The paths running through The Ness Islands, lead to Ladies Walk on the east side of the river, and The Bught on the west. The walk was laid out by Dr. John Nicol, in 1818. He died of Cholera in 1849
