The 'Raigmore'

The 'Raigmore' was the first engine designed and built specifically for the Highland Railway Company. It was manufactured by Hawthorns & Co. of Leith as a 2-2-2 and delivered in 1855. It was later modified as a 2-4-0 in 1869.
