Fifth-year pupils at Inverness High School in 1875. The school was originally known as the Free Church Institution, which was founded after the Disruption of 1843. The school merged with Raining's School and moved to the premises now used by Crown Primary School. It moved to its present site in 1937 and was renamed the Technical High School. Since 1959, it has been known as Inverness High School
