Drawing of the King's Stables, Culloden Moor. It is said these cottages date from the time of the Battle of Culloden in 1746. They lay to the west of the battlefield and are reputed to have housed the English Cavalry after the battle. The cottage on the left was known as 'King's Stables Cottage' and was presented to the National Trust for Scotland in 1944
