Drawing Room in Brahan Castle, near Dingwall, Ross-shire. Built in 1611 for Colin, 1st Earl of Seaforth, the castle remained the traditional home of the Seaforths - the chiefs of the Clan MacKenzie. It was here that the Jacobite MacKenzies surrendered their arms and swore allegiance to the English crown.

The castle was extended and modernised some time before 1837. It remained occupied until the 1950s when it was demolished
