Transferring from large vessel to small boat

Passengers transferring from a large vessel to a small boat. Although the occasion is unknown, the passengers could possibly be going ashore at one of the smaller islands. Islands such as St. Kilda, in the Outer Hebrides, never had steamer piers, so tourists were transferred ashore by rowing boat. The passengers being ferried, appear to be dressed for a special occasion
