Crianlarich Hotel

Crianlarich is situated in western Perthshire at the junction of Glen Falloch, Glen Dochart and Strath Fillan. In the mid-18th century two military roads reached the village from Stirling, via Callander, and from Dumbarton, along the banks of Loch Lomond. In 1873 the Oban to Callander railway line opened and, in 1894, the Glasgow to Fort William line passed through the village. The two railways had separate stations which merged in 1965 after the closure of the Callander line
