The war memorial is situated just off the main road into the village of Plockton, at the Glaick, overlooking the obbe (bay). The obelisk is made of polished granite, topped with a Celtic cross, above a carved shield thrust through with a sword held in a forearm and hand. The names of twenty men who died in the 1914-18 War are inscribed onto the face of the memorial, with the names of eight men who died in the 1939-45 are inscribed on the polished base
