Pladaig Bay and the Plock of Kyle

Pladaig Bay, on the outskirts of Kyle of Lochalsh, was within easy walking distance of both Duncan Macpherson's pharmacy and home. A beautiful sunset would be enough to tempt him out with his camera to capture the scene. He must have been particularly pleased with this view, as he included it in his first book "Gateway to Skye", published in 1946, although completed just before the war in 1939
