The RNLI Lifeboat Station at Kyle of Lochalsh is the newest station in Scotland. It was established in 1995 to provide lifeboat cover for the increasing number of people using the sea for pleasure; divers, canoeists and yachtsmen. The station lifeboat is currently the inshore B class Atlantic 75. The two-storey boathouse is also home to the Harbour Master's office.
