Station Master's House, Kyle of Lochalsh

The Station Master's house at Kyle overlooked the railway terminus and pier, as well as having beautiful views across to Skye. A siding, filled with wagons, can be seen running out from the main station below the house. Steps down the rocks allowed the Station Master easy access to the station rather than walking back to the main road and across the railway bridge which can just be seen in the far left of the photograph. Local information states that Colin MacWilliam was the Station Master from 1929 to 1939
