Railway Pier, Kyle of Lochalsh

This photograph was taken from the end of the railway pier in Kyle of Lochalsh. A lifebelt hangs on the lamp post at the end of the pier. Two people are perched on the very end, obviously taking in the magificent scenery before them. The view north takes in Kyleakin on the left, Eilean Ban with the lighthouse, built in 1857 and manned until 1960 on the right, and in the distance the spectacular Cuillin mountain range
