This photograph shows the SS 'Lochness' at Kyle of Lochalsh pier. The boat was built for MacBrayne's in 1929 for the Mallaig - Kyle of Lochalsh - Stornoway route. The oil storage tank in the background was built so that the Lochness could refuel at Kyle. The policeman in the foreground is believed to be Sergeant Munro
