A steam train crosses an embankment

A steam train has just passed through a cutting and is photographed about to cross an embankment. The stretch of railway line is probably situated between Stromeferry and Plockton. Taking four years to build, the line from Stromeferry reached Kyle in 1897 after a great deal of costly and difficult engineering work, involving 31 rock cuttings and 29 bridges
