Glenquithel garden, Kyle of Lochalsh

Duncan Macpherson named his house in Kyle of Lochalsh 'Glenquithel' after the village in Aberdeenshire where he spent his early years. Duncan moved to Kyle of Lochalsh in 1912, opened his chemist's shop and spent the rest of his working life there. He photographed this group of visitors in his own garden and may not have been aware of the child at the window on the right, no doubt his daughter Mary
