Inverinate House

Inverinate House, by Carruthers, Ballantyne & Taylor, is situated on the shores of Loch Duich, and is now residence for the Inverinate, Killilan and Glomach Estates. The Tudor style shooting lodge, built for Capt Gerald Portman in 1929, replaced an 1880 rebuild, after a fire in 1864 when owned by Sir Alexander Matheson M.P. The original house on the site was built in 1801 for Kenneth MacKenzie
