A lorry tanker belonging to James Hemphill Ltd., Haulage Contractor of 103 Inglefield St., Glasgow, is stranded with the tide surrounding it just beside the ferry jetty at Kyle. A second photograph, taken from the end of the jetty, shows that a salvage operation is underway to tow the lorry back onto dry land
