Sir Harry Lauder (1870 - 1950) was a regular visitor to the Kyle of Lochalsh area. He is pictured here with Captain MacArthur who commanded the TSS Lochness and later the TSMV Lochseaforth, on the Mallaig - Kyle - Stornoway route. Duncan Macpherson describes in his book 'Gateway to Skye', how Sir Harry entertained a large audience for an hour in the Kyle Public Hall, in 1932, to help raise funds for the hall
