It is difficult to tell which steamer this is because of the angle at which the photograph was taken, with Kyleakin behind. It may be the 'Glencoe' which was built in 1846 as the 'Mary Jane', and which became part of David Hutcheson's fleet in 1857. She was renamed the 'Glencoe' in 1875 after a major refit and the mail service to Portree was one of her important duties. After a long career, she made her final trip in May 1931
