Loch Lundie lies in the hills above Plockton, with the back road between Duirinish and Duncraig running along one shore. It acts as a reservoir for Plockton's water supply. Coille Dhubh (Black Wood) covers the lower slopes of the hill opposite. Duncan Macpherson, the photographer, used this panoramic shot in his booklet Isles and Peaks of the West, published from his Kyle Pharmacy in Kyle of Lochalsh in 1923
