Construction of Pladaig Road, Kyle of Lochalsh

This is one of a short series of photographs showing the construction of a side road off Church Road in Kyle of Lochalsh, close to where the photographer Duncan Macpherson lived. In a hand drawn map of Kyle (c. 1925), Macpherson had named it Baltic Road, and the inlet from the sea below as Baltic Bay. Both were subsequently renamed Pladaig Road and Pladaig Bay. The road leads to a few houses, then continues as a path. The workman with his horse and cart has not been identified
