Kyle of Lochalsh
The terrace of cottages was built to house railway staff after the railway was extended from Stromeferry to Kyle of Lochalsh in 1897. The terrace was built to the east of the village, close to the station, and the road to Balmacara and Dornie. The houses with porches, such as those in the right of the photograph, were evidently for slightly higher ranking staff
