Kyle of Lochalsh Railway Bridge

A view across the railway bridge at Kyle of Lochalsh, with the Cuillin mountains in the distance. Kyle expanded when the new railway line from Stromeferry was opened on 2 November 1897, after several years of difficult engineering work. The railway bridge was subsequently replaced with a less elaborate but more functional one. See also photograph HCD820
