View from the jetty at Kyle of Lochalsh, looking over to Kyleakin, with the Station Hotel in the right centre. The road pictured, to the hotel and jetty, was then privately owned by LMS, the London Midland & Scottish Railway Company. The name of the hotel is painted on the roof, as well as being on the sign at the gates. The hotel was originally a Lodge owned by Sir Alexander Matheson.
