Loch Long, and road to Killilan

Loch Long is pictured here, looking north east towards Ben Killilan (753 m). The road runs along the side of the loch from Ardelve, past Conchra, and on to Sallachy and the Killilan Estate at the head of the loch. The estate covers a vast area of mountains and deer forest, with access to the Glomach Falls, and in Duncan Macpherson's time was owned by Mr Melville Wills, whose yacht is moored in the loch. The original house, which was situated at the foot of Ben Killilan, was demolished in the 1990s
