The church by William Joass, has a slate-spired wooden cupola, corner octagonal towers and above the entrance, a window with Gothic tracery. Duncan Macpherson who photographed the church, was possibly a member of the congregation during the summers he spent in Strathpeffer working as an assistant pharmacist
