The Mark 3 version of the ferry which crossed between Kyle of Lochalsh and Kyleakin is seen here at the jetty in Kyle. The improved boat had a turntable and ramps but still carried only one vehicle at a time. The boat on the left side of the jetty is the Glenelg Motor launch which made the 75-minute journey through Kyle Rhea at various times depending on the tides and seasons
