Sir Hugh Fraser was for a time proprietor of Stromeferry estate, and had a home there as well as in London. He was called to the Bar in 1886, becoming a judge of the High Court in 1924. He was knighted in 1917 and was also a noted author. He died on the 8 of July 1927, and the funeral cortege is seen here, led by two pipers, making its way through the village of Stromeferry
