A swimmer on the shore, Torrin

One of three photographs taken on the shores of Loch Slapin near Torrin, Isle of Skye, with Beinn Dearg Mhor on the left and Beinn Dearg Beag on the right in the background. Mary Macpherson, daughter of the photographer Duncan, was accompanied by three friends on this day trip to Skye from Kyle of Lochalsh, and it would appear that she borrowed her father's camera. It must have been a particularly warm day to tempt the swimmer into the water. Skye is not reknowned for its sandy beaches, the one pictured being very typical
