St Duthac's Church, Dornie

This exterior photograph of St Duthac's Roman Catholic Church in Dornie is one of the illustrations in "Isles and Peaks of the West", a collection of photographs accompanied by short descriptive 'tours', which was published by Duncan Macpherson at the Kyle Pharmacy, Kyle of Lochalsh in 1923. He mentions the church as being partially hidden by monastery ruins, which in the photograph seem to be in a state of disrepair, and also mentions their previous existence in his book "Lure of the West". By the time he photographed the scene again many years later, the church was all that remained
