Duncan Macpherson, the photographer, drew this map of Kyle of Lochalsh and produced it as a postcard to sell in his pharmacy. The map features several of his own photographs of local buildings - Kyle Public School, the Station Hotel at the jetty, two banks and the Post Office, as well as the S.S. Sheila which plied the route between Kyle and Stornoway for 20 years until she ran aground in 1927
