The Quirang

The Quirang is a huge rock formation found on the Trotternish Penninsula in northern Skye. A landslip created the area of screes, rocky pinnacles and boulders. The Quirang is a popular but challenging walk. There are three main elements to the formation. The Needle is a rock spire reaching 120 feet. The Prison is an enclosed rock formation and the Table is a sunken platform where locals are said to have played shinty in the past.
