View from Glen Torrin, Broadford, Isle of Skye

The crofting township of Torrin is situated some six miles (9 km) from Broadford on the Isle of Skye, and is dominated by this classic view of Blaven (Blà Bheinn, 928m) described as one of the finest hills on Skye. Blaven's twin peaks and distinctive silhouette have attracted walkers and climbers for many years, despite being neither the highest nor most demanding of ascents, and something of an outlier from the main Cuillin ridge. The head of Loch Slapin can just be seen in the photograph, separating the township from the lower slopes of the mountain.
