Plockton Regatta

The Plockton Small Boat Sailing Club was inaugurated in 1933 with the first regatta being held the following Summer. Only local, clinker-built boats were allowed in the competition for the Plockton Trophy and indeed this remains the case. Sailing takes place in the picturesque waters of Loch Carron from May until the end of August, with the highlight of the summer, the Regatta, taking place over a fortnight in the last week of July and the first week of August. The races are augmented by concerts, dances and children's activities.
