An aerial view of the Isle of Moy, in Moy and Dalrossie, near Inverness. The ruins on the island are identified by the Statistical Account of the parish as belonging to a large house containing four fire rooms. The fortified island was a retreat for the Lairds of Mackintosh during times of turbulence. The remains of a street can be seen travelling the length of the island, with the foundations of houses on either side.
