This photograph shows the Old High Church in Inverness. It is is the oldest church in the Highland Capital. Founded in 1171, it is believed to be resting on St Michael's mound, where St. Columba of Iona preached. Much of the church as it stands at the present day can be dated back to the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, but part of the tower dates back to the fourteenth century.
