The houses pictured are situated on the shore of Loch Carron in the picturesque village of Plockton, close to the old harbour. Aird a' Mhorair is the rocky promontory giving shelter to the sandy bay in front of Harbour Street, the earliest and principal street in the village. In the background, across Plockton Bay, are the hills behind Duncraig, including Creag nan Garadh which provides a wonderful vantage point from which to view the village.
