Ratagan House was originally an 18th century farmhouse but has been enlarged and remodelled over the years. It is situated in the settlement of Ratagan overlooking Loch Duich, close to the Youth Hostel. It is recorded that James Hogg, the Ettrick Shepherd, stayed in the house with sheep farmer Donald Macleod in 1803. A Category B listed building, more recently the house was in use as an hotel named Ratagan Lodge Hotel.
