Dunvegan Castle Stables and Saw Mill

The building pictured is part of the Dunvegan Estate ancillary buildings and is situated only a few hundred yards from the entrance to the castle. Built in 1811, the stables, coach house and steadings were constructed around a U-plan courtyard, and featured pavilion style corners with large arched recesses giving the impression of a much grander use. The sawmill is adjacent and retains the original machinery.
