Erchless Castle stands at the foot of Strathglass near Struy about 8 miles from Beauly. It was built in the early 17th century an as L-plan tower house but has been altered since then. It was the ancestral home of the Chisholm family and the seat of the chief of the Chisholm clan until it was sold in the 1930s.
