Elgol is a small fishing and crofting village on the west coast of Skye. Situated on the shores of Loch Scavaig, with a glorious view of the great Cuillin range, it has long been a popular tourist destination with regular boat trips offered to Loch Coruisk and the small isles of Canna, Rum and Soay. On the right is Sgurr na Stri (497m), and on the left is Sgurr nan Eag (924m)
