Dunrobin Castle railway station

Dunrobin Castle railway station is found on the Far North Line and is often listed as a 'summer only' station. The station serves Dunrobin Castle and was part of the Duke of Sutherland's railway. The 3rd Duke of Sutherland paid to have the railway extended from Golspie up to West Helmsdale in 1870. He ran the railway himself until the Highland Railway extended the line further north into Caithness and took of the running of it. The building in the photograph was built in 1902 and is now a category B listed building.
