The Strachan Twins with 'Hungry Bear', Inshes Shopping Centre

This image was recently highlighted in Am Baile's 'Picture Detective' feature, run in conjunction with the Inverness Courier. The children have been identified as David and Malcolm Strachan and the picture was taken sometime in 1981 or 1982. It was taken in the Stripes cafe within the Co-op superstore which was then at Inshes. The boys had won a competition to have their photo taken with Hungry Bear in conjunction with the promotion of healthy food the cafe was serving.

At one stage both brothers worked for Moray Firth Radio. David, on the left, still works for MFR as a presenter.
