This image was recently highlighted in Am Baile's 'Picture Detective' feature, run in conjunction with the Inverness Courier. It shows four athletes at the Glenurquhart Games at Blairbeg Park, Drumnadrochit on 25 August 1984.

From left to right are Craig Bonnington (Inverness Harriers), Allan MacKenzie (Forres Harriers), Neil Campbell (Inverness Harriers) and David Allan (Inverness Harriers). They finished 1-2-3-4 in the 100m Handicap.

David Allan went on to become Scottish hammer-throwing champion. At the time of writing [2011] he is a physiotherapist in Queensland, Australia.
