TSMV Loch Nevis' arriving at Raasay Pier, 1940s

The TSMV Lochnevis was launched in 1934, initially for use on the Mallaig - Portree mail service. World War ll saw her renamed HMS Lochnevis and refitted as a minelayer. After the war she was stationed at various ports including Mallaig, Oban and Greenock. It is reported that she was in the harbour in Kyle of Lochalsh when the Port Napier went on fire on 27 September 1940.
