Depart in peace. Thanks be to God.

(Post-script: Other forms:)

(Confession and absolution:)
All powerful God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, creator of all things, the judge of all men, we confess and lament our many sins and our wickedness which we have committed from time to time so grievously in the face of your great Holiness with our thoughts, our words and our actions. And for engendering justly anger and passion in your face we are truly regretful and are sincerely sorry for these sins. We remember them with anger. We cannot bear the burden. Grant us mercy. Grant us mercy, all merciful Father, for the sake of your son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Forgive us everything which is past, and grant that we may do service and pleasure to you from here forth in the renewment of life to the honour and the glory of your name through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
