A happy group

A group of women photographed by the Inverness photographer Jimmy Nairn in the 1950s. It has been suggested that the photograph was taken at the Salvation Army Goodwill centre just off Grant Street, Inverness. A number of the women were from the Merkinch area - among them are Mrs Nelson, Mrs Mary Jane MacKenzie, Mrs Bella MacKenzie, Mrs Barron and her sister Mrs Trace. Also in the group, as recognised by an Am Baile user, are Mrs Ina Taylor and Maggie and Connie Mathieson.
