Millburn Signal Box

The signal box at Millburn Junction just outside Inverness Station. Inverness station is built with a triangular junction with lines coming in from the east and from the north, meeting at the station. Because of this two signal junctions are needed, one at Millburn and one at Rose Street. There is also a freight by-pass between the Millburn Junction and the Rose Street Junction. The main signalling contractor employed by Highland Railways was MacKenzie and Holland
